This Privacy Policy explains how Stuff ("Stuff," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when Sellers and Buyers use the Stuff platform. By using Stuff, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
1. Overview
Stuff is a platform that allows Sellers to list items for sale and Buyers to purchase those items without creating an account. Sellers sign in using a Google account. Buyers purchase via Stripe Checkout. This Policy applies to all users of Stuff.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Seller Information
When a Seller signs in with Google, we collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Google account ID
- Profile photo (if provided)
- Any information the Seller adds to their public profile (username, description, images)
- Item listing content (photos, titles, descriptions, prices)
2.2 Buyer Information
Buyers do not create accounts. When a Buyer makes a purchase through Stripe Checkout, we receive:
- Email address
- Name (if provided during checkout)
- Item purchased
- Transaction details
- Shipping information when required, which may include:
- Shipping address (street, city, state, postal code, country)
- Shipping contact name
- Shipping phone number
Sellers receive the Buyer's email address to arrange pickup or delivery. If the item requires shipping, Sellers may also receive the shipping address and shipping contact details.
2.3 Automatic Data
We collect basic technical data automatically, including:
- IP address
- Browser type
- Device type
- Pages viewed
- Referral information
- Interaction logs
3. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Create and manage Seller accounts
- Display Seller profiles and listings publicly
- Process payments and fees
- Send sale notifications to Sellers
- Improve and maintain platform functionality
- Provide customer support
- Detect fraud or misuse of the platform
We do not sell personal data to third parties.
4. Sharing of Information
We share information only as necessary to operate Stuff.
4.1 With Sellers
After a Buyer makes a purchase, we provide the Seller with the Buyer's email address so they can coordinate delivery.
4.2 With Service Providers
We use trusted providers to operate Stuff:
- Stripe for payment processing
- Supabase for authentication, data storage, and hosting
- Email providers for notifications
These services may process personal information on our behalf.
4.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required to:
- Comply with law or legal requests
- Enforce our Terms of Service
- Protect the rights, safety, or security of Stuff or its users
5. Public Content
Seller profiles, usernames, listing photos, and descriptions are public. Buyers and visitors can view:
- Seller profile pages
- Items listed for sale
- The public Browse page
Do not upload or publish anything you do not want made public.
6. Cookies & Tracking
We may use cookies or similar technologies to:
- Keep Sellers signed in
- Enable basic platform functionality
- Analyze usage to improve Stuff
Users can disable cookies through their browsers, but functionality may be limited.
7. Data Storage & Security
We take reasonable measures to secure data, but no system is 100% secure. By using Stuff, you acknowledge that:
- Your data may be stored in the United States or other regions
- Transmission of data over the internet carries risks
- We cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data Retention
We retain data for as long as necessary to:
- Operate Stuff
- Maintain transaction records
- Comply with legal obligations
Sellers may delete their account, which removes profile information and listings. Transaction records may be kept for compliance.
9. Children
Stuff is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Some pages may link to external sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites.
11. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including:
