Stuff – Terms of Service

1. Overview

Stuff is an online platform that allows individuals ("Sellers") to list physical items for sale and share their public profile for potential buyers ("Buyers") to browse and purchase items. Sellers must sign in using a Google account. Buyers do not create accounts.

All sales on Stuff are processed via Stripe Checkout. Stuff takes a platform fee from each transaction. Sellers are responsible for communicating with Buyers to arrange pickup or delivery. All sales are final.

2. Eligibility

You must:

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Live in a region where Stripe Checkout is supported.
• Use a valid Google account to create a Seller profile.

If you are using Stuff as a Buyer, you may browse and purchase items without an account.

3. Account Creation and Seller Responsibilities

3.1 Google Authentication

Sellers must sign in with a Google account. By doing so, you authorize Stuff to access the basic information needed to create your profile.

3.2 Seller Profiles

Sellers may customize their public profile, including username, profile picture, and description. Your profile and listed items will appear publicly via:

• Your unique public profile link
• The public Browse page

3.3 Seller Responsibilities

Sellers are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy of item descriptions
• Setting prices
• Ensuring they legally own the items they list
• Completing delivery or pickup with Buyers
• Communicating promptly with Buyers after a sale
• Complying with all applicable local, state, and federal laws

Stuff does not mediate disputes between Buyers and Sellers.

4. Buyers

Buyers do not create accounts. Buyers may:

• View any Seller's public profile
• Browse all publicly listed items
• Purchase items through Stripe Checkout

Buyers are responsible for ensuring:

• They understand the item being purchased
• They coordinate delivery/pickup with the Seller after checkout

All sales are final.

5. Payments and Fees

5.1 Stripe Checkout

All transactions are processed securely by Stripe. By purchasing or selling on Stuff, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

5.2 Platform Fees

Sellers agree to pay Stuff a percentage-based platform fee deducted automatically from each sale.

5.3 Payouts

Funds are sent directly to Sellers via Stripe's connected account system. Stuff does not directly hold funds.

5.4 Sales Are Final

All purchases made through Stuff are final and non-refundable, whether initiated by the Buyer or Seller.

6. Communication Between Sellers and Buyers

After a successful purchase:

• Sellers receive an email notification.
• Sellers must contact the Buyer using the provided email.
• Sellers and Buyers arrange delivery/pickup independently.

Stuff does not provide messaging tools and does not mediate communication.

7. Prohibited Items and Activities

Sellers may not list or sell:

• Illegal items or contraband
• Weapons
• Drugs or controlled substances
• Stolen items
• Hazardous materials
• Items that violate intellectual property rights
• Items banned under applicable law

Stuff may remove listings or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

8. Platform Use and Conduct

Users agree not to:

• Interfere with Stuff's operation
• Scrape, copy, or harvest data from Stuff
• Misrepresent identity or ownership of items
• Attempt to bypass platform fees
• Engage in fraud, scams, or abusive behavior

We may suspend or terminate access for violations.

9. Content Ownership and License

Sellers own the content they upload, including item photos and descriptions. By uploading content, you grant Stuff a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

• Display your items publicly
• Showcase them on the Browse page
• Use them for platform functionality

We do not claim ownership over Seller content.

10. Disclaimers

Stuff is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• Item quality, accuracy, or availability
• Successful sales or delivery
• Seller communication or conduct
• Buyer payment issues

Stuff is a platform, not a retailer, distributor, or shipping provider.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stuff is not liable for any:

• Lost profits
• Damages arising from sales or failed deliveries
• Disputes between Buyers and Sellers
• Fraudulent actions by any user
• Data loss or outages

Your use of Stuff is at your own risk.

12. Privacy Policy

Use of Stuff is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, store, and process personal information.

You must accept the Privacy Policy to use Stuff.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate Seller accounts at any time for:

• Violations of these Terms
• Fraud or suspected fraud
• Attempts to bypass fees
• Abuse, harassment, or harmful behavior

Sellers may stop using the platform at any time by deleting their account.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of Stuff after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.
